Program Details
You must be age 60 or older and a resident of Davidson County, Tennessee to qualify.
You will schedule your transportation using the Lyft app on your smart phone.
SRN will provide up to 2 round-trip ride vouchers (4 one-way trips) per month that can be used for health and wellness destinations within Davidson County (grocery stores, doctor’s offices, dentist’s offices, therapy appointments, places of worship, etc.).
For this program, you will pay $8 per one-way trip and SRN will cover the remainder, up to $20. You may qualify for a reduced price of $4 per one-way trip*. Please see more information below about qualifying.
You will be responsible for any cost above $20. SRN has been using Lyft as a resource for years and a typical one-way trip range is $16-20.
Senior Ride Nashville will invoice you at the end of each month for the passes that you use.
You will be able to schedule your Lyft Pass trips any time or day.
If you encounter specific transportation issues, you will contact Lyft customer support directly to resolve as SRN has no control over Lyft scheduling or drivers.
SRN staff will only be able to answer questions during our business hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.
Lyft Silver is a simplified version of the app that may help you plan your transportation more easily. It is free and can be used by anyone that has a Lyft account.
Lyft works very well most of the time; however, we recommend always having the phone number of a cab company or another transportation backup with you in case you have an issue with Lyft that cannot be resolved in a timely manner.
